Wire Rope Manufacturer Continues Building For Future

Phillipsburg, New Jersey - January 12, 2012 – Solidifying top management continues at Jersey Strand and Cable. Executive Vice-President, John Pratt, has his role expanded.

John has been a staple at JSC for over 30 years, joining the business his father, Al Pratt, founded more than 30 years ago. John has been educated by the masters in the custom wire rope business. Starting out at JSC as a wire scrapper, John has seen his role grow along with the company. John earned his stripes, under Al’s tutelage, by mastering every aspect of the business here at JSC.

John currently has six direct reports and his responsibilities include project management, strategic planning, productivity, legal and compliance, and operations working “hand in hand” with President, Al Pratt.

Al Pratt says, “John continues to be integral to the growth of JSC and over the years he has mastered every aspect of our business. It is a comfort to me to know that one day John will provide continuity for the friends we call our customers. John continues his efforts with the same devotion and tenacity that this corporation was founded upon, and I am proud to see what my son has achieved here at JSC.”

Wire Rope Manufacturer Expands Efforts

Phillipsburg, New Jersey – September 30, 2011- Founder and President of Jersey Strand & Cable, Al Pratt, expands Management Team to hit the ground running for a rewarding 2012.

Richard Filandro, a seasoned executive, has joined JSC in the role of Director of Worldwide Sales. Richard brings with him over 30 years experience in a variety of roles. A mathematician, software engineer and sales professional, Richard holds the Bachelor Degree from Adelphi University and the Master Degree from Long Island University at CW Post.

After a successful career as a high school mathematics teacher, he moved to the business world where he worked as a software engineer creating cutting edge programs for word processing and graphic manipulation. Seeing the need for a new breed of sales strategies, Richard moved to bridge the gap between technological developments and sales and marketing efforts and has had tremendous success in many vertical markets for both large and small companies.

Al Pratt says, “Richard brings new perspective here at JSC. His math and science background, when coupled with our computer driven manufacturing approach make a powerful combination. When you add in Richard’s sales experience and his past worldwide business travel, we have a perfect match for our national and international customers.”

Executive Vice President, John Pratt, says, “It’s great to have Richard in place to translate our customer’s needs into the nuts and bolts requirements of our machines and production. On the flip side, he can also take our technological ideas back to the customer and present them in an easy to understand way.”
